Akinruyiwa of Owu Kingdom and renowned property developer, Chief Olumide Aderinokun has congratulated Muslims in Ogun Central Senatorial District following the completion of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.
The revered philanthropist joined Muslims in marking Eid al-Fitr by extending financial gesture to the needy across six Local Government Areas in the Senatorial District.
During the Ramadan period, the Egba-born politician distributed food items to not less than 3000 Islamic faithful across Abeokuta North, Abeokuta South, Ewekoro, Ifo, Obafemi Owode and Odeda LGAs through Olumide and Stephanie Aderinokun Foundation. He also powered a daily Ramadan programme on local radio stations for the entire 30 days.
In his celebratory message released on Wednesday, Chief Aderinokun called on Muslims to continue praying for a better Ogun State and Nigeria.
“We thank Almighty Allah for seeing us through the Holy Month. I enjoin the people to imbibe the true spirit of Islam and the teachings of the holy Quran in their daily lives,” Chief Aderinokun said.
“We must also remember to intensify prayers for unity, peace and progress of Nigeria.
“Despite the insecurity and economic challenges in this government, we will celebrate more together in the coming years.”
