Police rescue three persons from kidnappers’ den in Ogun State
The Ogun Police Command have confirmed the rescue of three persons kidnapped at Ode-Omi community in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of the state on Friday.
The victims were kidnapped on Sunday and have been rescued unhurt by security agencies in the state.
A statement was issued in Abeokuta by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abimbola Oyeyemi, on Friday regarding the incident.
She said the victims are still at the police headquarters at Eleweran in Abeokuta while further details would be released later
The News Agency of Nigeria via Pulse reported that suspected kidnappers had stormed the Waterside community on Sunday during the Eid-El Kabir celebration where they abducted the people and escaped in two speedboats.
The kidnappers were said to have later contacted the families of the victims later that day, demanding for N30 million as ransom.
