Ogun State Police arrests fake pastor for raping two sisters in Abeokuta

A man named, Prophet Ebenezer Ajigbotolwa, has been arrested by operatives of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly raping and impregnating two underage sisters.


The suspect who is the founder and General Overseer of the Church of Lord, Olomore, Abeokuta reportedly raped two sisters and defrauded the family of  two million naira cash.


According to Police Spokesperson in Ogun State, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the suspect was arrested following a report by the mother of the victims at Lafenwa Police Station. The mother of the victims explained that she fell sick sometimes in 2018 and was taken to the church for spiritual healing.


“The pastor took advantage of her sickness and asked her entire family of six to move into the church premises to avoid being afflicted with the same sickness, the mother said according to Vanguard.


“Since then, the prophet started having sex with her daughters of 16 and 13 years of age unknown to her.


“The pastor impregnated the two underage girls and went on to procure abortion for them in a private clinic.


“Aside from this, the prophet also defrauded the family of two million naira cash which he took for what he called spiritual cleansing.”


The DPO Lafenwa Division, CSP Muraina Ayilara embarked on an investigation and they arrested the suspect on the 6th of August 2020 at about 5 am.


The Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun has ordered the suspect to be transferred to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for discreet investigation.
