Ogun State NLC Chairman reinstated after 28 months of being sacked by Governor Amosun
Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun has reinstated the Chairman Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) of the state, Comrade Akeem Ambali.
It was disclosed by the National Chairman of the Union, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, after a thorough meeting between the Ogun State Government and National leaders of NLC, at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Tuesday.
On October 31, Comrade Ambali and 14 others were sacked by the State Government for what was labeled alleged misconduct during the 2016 World Teachers Day Celebration.
The state government set up a panel of enquiry to investigate them for the individual roles during the celebration. While 15 other labour leaders dismissed and suspended were pardoned, Ambali’s case was not revisited.
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President also made it known to newsmen after the meeting that all issues raised by NLC on workers welfare have been resolved. He also said that the issues as it affects staff of the Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu -Ijebu, had also been resolved.
