Motorcyclist and three passengers killed in Ogun State road accident
A fatal road crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup van has claimed the lives of the motorcyclist and his three passengers at Sango-Ijoko Road, around NNPC filling station in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area.
The motorcyclist reportedly had a head-on collision with an unregistered Honda pickup van around 11:20pm on Monday, leading to the death of three persons on the spot, while the fourth person died in a hospital on Tuesday.
The accident was confirmed by Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) Public Relations Officer, Babatunde Akinbiyi and he disclosed that the pick-up van was coming from Sango, towards Ijoko when it collided with the motorcycle coming from the other way.
“The vehicle and the motorcycle ran into each other while trying to avoid a pot-hole, the corpses of the dead victims have been deposited at the morgue of Ota General Hospital,” Akinbiyi said according to DailyPost.
“Also, the driver of the vehicle had been taken to the Sango Division of the Nigeria Police Force.”
