How social media reacted to clash between SARS operatives and Abeokuta traders
On Thursday, pandemonium broke out at Olomore market in Abeokuta after two Hausa traders were reportedly shot by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
The development led to violent protest as angry Hausa traders blocked the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway with vehicular movements came to a standstill.
It was gathered that the SARS officers stormed the market while in pursuit of internet fraudsters ‘Yahoo Yahoo boys’.
Thursday’s incident in Abeokuta got social media users across the country talking with many condemning the behaviour of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

Abẹ́òkúta is fast becoming a hotbed for SARS impunity.
Now ordinary folks are afraid of a police force that is supposed to protect them. The irony!

I think Abeokuta is the worst place to stay in terms of SARS operation, I mean you can’t even move freely without harassment, any small movement they want to harass you . #EndSARS https://t.co/8SzbKsu0CB
