How social media reacted to clash between SARS operatives and Abeokuta traders
On Thursday, pandemonium broke out at Olomore market in Abeokuta after two Hausa traders were reportedly shot by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
The development led to violent protest as angry Hausa traders blocked the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway with vehicular movements came to a standstill.
It was gathered that the SARS officers stormed the market while in pursuit of internet fraudsters ‘Yahoo Yahoo boys’.
Thursday’s incident in Abeokuta got social media users across the country talking with many condemning the behaviour of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
