Governor Abiodun celebrates Sagamu Day, pledges to commence rehabilitation of Ikorodu-Sagamu road
Governor Dapo Abiodun during the 35th Sagamu Day Celebration held at the Akarigbo Palace, Ita-Oba, Sagamu, made a promise to ensure the completion of all ongoing road projects within Sagamu and Remo axis and embark on the reconstruction of Ikorodu-Sagamu road as soon as possible.
The governor said his administration remains focused at ensuring that all roads in the state are in good condition, to aid transportation and industrialisation.
Also in his address on Saturday, Governor Abiodun stressed on the importance of good road networks in the state, recognising it as one of the biggest industrial hubs in the country and assured that roads such as the Oba-Erinwole road and Hospital road currently under rehabilitation would soon be completed, while rehabilitation work would commence on Olabisi Onabanjo and G.R.A roads.
Oba Babatunde Ajayi, the Akarigbo and paramount ruler of Remo land, commended the state government for attracting more businesses to the area, adding that the commissioning of a passport office in Sagamu, inauguration of Remo Security Trust Fund and influx of several corporate organizations in Remo are some of the achievements recorded so far in his reign.
