Fake lawyer arrested in Ogun after five years at bar
A suspected fake lawyer, Lawrence Oyedunu, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for parading himself as a lawyer.
The suspect, who has practiced law for five years and appeared at different courts in Ogun State, claimed to have studied law at studied law at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
He was arrested after allegedly obtaining the sum of N400,000 from a client to prosecute a civil case.
Oyedunnu was paraded by Ogun Police Commissioner, Kenneth Ebrimson, on Thursday at the state police headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, alongside four other suspects who were allegedly arrested for posing as immigration officers and defrauding expatriates in the state of huge sums of money.
Ebrimson stated that the arrest of the suspects was in furtherance of the mission of the command to rid the state of crime and criminality.
