Coronavirus: Ogun State records highest single-day Covid-19 cases
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control confirmed 25 new cases of coronavirus in Ogun State as the country recorded 226 positive cases on Tuesday, May 19.
The new cases were reported in 16 states as Lagos led 131 cases while the Gateway State came second with 25, followed by Plateau State in third with 15 cases.
Tuesday’s tally of 25 cases was the highest recorded by the Gateway State since the first case of Covid-19 was reported on February 27.

Ogun State has now confirmed 178 cases of Covid-19 with 103 on admission across its isolation and treatment centre, 69 recovered patients have been discharged while six deaths have been recorded.
Earlier on Thursday, the State Government announced that two patients were discharged after testing negative to the virus twice.
Last Friday, Governor Dapo Abiodun extended the total lockdown in the state by another one week as they aim to reduce the spread of the virus that has put several activities across the state on hold.
