Biggest Tilapia fish farm in Nigeria gets support from Ogun State Government
The Fisheries and Aquaculture Sector of the Ministry of Agriculture in Ogun State paid a scheduled visit to Oyan Dam, an Aquaculture/Fisheries Value Chain located in Abeokuta North Local Government which is believed to have the largest Tilapia fish farm in Nigeria.
The visit which had the Commissioner for Agriculture Dr. Adeola Odedina in attendance, was part of Ogun State’s Covid-19 Agricultural response plan to support the private food production sector and processing locations across the state to combat induced food security challenges.
The fish farm is said to have a production capacity of 10 million tilapia fishes which could serve both local and international markets.

During the visit, Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture assured it will continue to support all food production sector and processing locations across the state to enable them continue to play enhanced roles in food security and job creation during this pandemic period.
