Alhaja Selimot Olapeju Ottun: Meet the new Head of Service in Ogun State
Governor Dapo Abiodun approved the appointment of Alhaja Selimot Olapeju Ottun as the new Head of Service in Ogun State on Monday.
She becomes the 17th Head of Service in the state after succeeding TPL Amope Ajibola Chokor who retired from public service on Saturday.
Prior to the new appointment, Alhaja Ottun was the Permanent Secretary in the Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration, and she was formerly the Permanent Secretary at the State’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism between 2015 and 2019.
She finished her secondary school education in Remo Secondary School, Sagamu before proceeding to the University of Ibadan where he graduated from the department of Psyschology in 1985. She also earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrated Development from the Pan African Institute of Development, in Cameroon.
The new Head of Service previously served as the State Director of the United Nations Gender Development Programme between 2009 and 2015, and she is presently the President of RSS 1973/78 set.
