A Bill to establish National Metallurgical Training Institute in Sagamu passes second reading in House of Reps
The Federal House of Representatives has passed for second reading Rep. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga’s bill for an act to establish the National Metallurgical Training Institute in Sagamu.
Rep. Onanuga who represents Ikenne, Sagamu and Remo North Federal Consistuency in the lower chamber of the National Assembly, first read the bill on the floor in February 2019 and it has been referred to the House Committee on Steel for further deliberation.
The bill for the establishment of the National Institute of Metallurgical Training Institute in Sagamu, is expected to provide, training, information, supervision, guidance and advice to students, researchers and personnel in irons and steel, and oil and gas industries across the country.
It was passed for second reading on Thursday after the House voted on it with no objection.
