96 pregnant women, nursing mothers excused from Ogun NYSC camp
No fewer than 96 pregnant women and nursing mothers have been excused from the three-week orientation programme of the National Youth Service Corps in Ogun State camp.
During the swearing-in ceremony at the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu, Ogun State’s NYSC co-ordinator, Belinda Faniyi disclosed that 786 corps members comprising of 413 males and 373 females were sworn in for one year mandatory service in the state.
According to Faniyi, the Batch B corps members were divided into two in compliance with coronavirus safety protocols set by the Presidential Taskforce, adding that stream 1B would resume camping next month.
“Over 96 pregnant women, nursing mothers, and others with critical health conditions have been excused from strenuous aspects of the programme and consequently given permission,” Faniyi said, per Punch.
