
1500 teachers recruited, 236 schools renovated in Ogun State
The Ogun State Government has completed the first phase of renovation in 236 schools across the state and hired about 1500 teachers to fill existing vacancies in public schools as part of efforts to revamp the education sector in the state.
In a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Ogun State Governor, Kunle Somorin, no fewer than 29,000 applicants applied for the job which closed on Saturday. The recruitment would be completed before the end of the year as the profiles of the would-be teachers are being analysed.

Few months ago, Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration declared a state of emergency on the education sector and it plans to rehabilitate schools that were dilapidated while others would be rebuilt was set in motion.
